Is LA a good place to live

Live independently in your own neighborhood

First citizens' forum in the southwest

The city of Bamberg invites you to a citizens' forum in the St. Urban parish hall on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the southwest. The citizens' forum deals with the following questions: How does the southwest have to develop so that the city district remains a good place to live, especially for older people in the future? What does it take in the southwest so that older people in particular can (continue to) live independently in the city district?

The social planning of the city of Bamberg wants to describe in a practical way what makes a good place to live and how it can be preserved. The responsible office for inclusion is taking a new path: The concept is consistently thought of by the people and out of their own city district.

The first citizens' forum in the south-west will be followed by other dates in order to concretize experiences and ideas together with the residents of the district and to initiate feasible measures. The consideration behind the neighborhood-related orientation: The residents are usually familiar with their own neighborhood, they know the local conditions, know how the people there think, have perhaps already got involved themselves, use social networks or are part of it from that. Here in your own district you can see what is important for a good life in familiar surroundings: social contacts and meeting opportunities, affordable housing, shopping, medical and nursing support, barrier-free surroundings, participation in cultural, educational and political life. All residents in the southwest can contribute their ideas, experiences and visions.
