Can a Sunni Muslim recite Durood

Why don't some sects stand and recite Salawaat and Salam about the Prophet Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam?

As Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

"Verily, Allah and His Angels send blessings (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to the Holy Prophet. O you who believe! Send blessings (Durood) and greetings (Salaams) to the Prophet with dignified greetings." (Surat al-Ahzab: 56)

and PROPHET MUHAMMAD Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam said

“On Fridays I keep reciting the salawat! The salawat will be sent to me. "(Ibn Habbaan, Ibn Maaja, Abu Dawood)

Hadhrat 'Abd ar-Rahman bin' Auf (radi allahu 'anhu) says that one day the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam) came and entered a date garden. There he performed a very long prostration. Hadrat 'Abd ar-Rahman (Radi Allahu' Anhu) feared that Allah had sent him death. He approached him and looked at him. The Holy Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) raised his holy head from prostration and asked what had happened to him, then revealed his fear to him. Then the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said that Hadrat Jibra'il (' alaihis salaam) asked if he should give him the good news that Allah said he would bless the person reciting the Holy Quran would send him and peace and security to the person who greeted him.

and many references that you can get from Ahadees

Standing in group and reciting darood and salam after prayer in the mosque is "mustahib" not compulsory, if we do it is fine.
