Seafood Spaghetti (Frutti di Mare)

ingredients

  • 2 packs (200 g each) of frozen Frutti di Mare
  • 250 g frozen party prawns (cooked, peeled, with tail)
  • 6–8 large, fresh organic tomatoes
  • 1 tuber of young, fresh garlic
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • sea-salt
  • 1 small bunch each of parsley and basil
  • 1-2 tbsp light or dark balsamic vinegar
  • 400 g of spaghetti
  • pepper
  • sugar

preparation

Thaw the seafood and prawns in a colander. Wash and clean tomatoes and cut into small pieces. Remove the garlic cloves from the bulb, peel and cut into pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Fry the garlic in it for 2-3 minutes. Pat the seafood and prawns dry, add, fry for approx. 3 minutes, turning. Take everything out of the pan. Reheat the roasting material in the pan. Add tomatoes, season with a little salt and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Wash the parsley and basil, pluck the leaves, except for some basil for garnish, from the stems and finely chop. Add vinegar, 2 tablespoons of oil and chopped herbs to the tomatoes, simmer for about 15 minutes over low heat. Prepare the pasta in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the packet. Finally, add the seafood and prawns to the sauce and heat them up. Drain the pasta. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and sugar, serve on plates with noodles, garnish with basil
