"... my speech and my sermon did not consist in persuasive words of wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and strength, so that your faith should be based not on human wisdom but on God's power." 1 Corinthians 2: 4-5

The Foundation of the Christian Faith does not lie in sophisticated teaching and theology (as important as that is), it also does not lie in elaborate programs to remedy the needs of this world (even if such programs have their place) but it lies according to Paul in the “demonstration” of the (supernatural) power of God - that is exactly the strengthwho raised Jesus from the dead 2000 years ago, and Him as well as all of His successors let do (and still do) the supernatural things written about in the Bible!

By showing the power of God in signs and wonders, healings and life changes the Christian faith found its way into the hearts of men, and through ever new demonstrations of the power of God it was kept alive over the centuries, and It is precisely through this demonstration of the supernatural that God will bring in the great harvest that He has promised at the end of time in the midst of increasing confusion and tremors in the world and prepare this world for the second coming of Jesus!

We need so the effectiveness of God's power in our lives and in our churches!

How but does the power of God now become effective?

* The Gospel = the good news of the finished work of Jesus Christ is the power of God (Romans 1:16).

If we trust with 100% exclusivity, Then it will be our life accompanies, carried and filled with the power of God!

I.e. it is about a unconditional addiction of our whole life from God and His power.

Eph 2: 8-10 Because by grace you are saved by faith and that not from you, it is God's gift; not from works, so that no one should boast. Because we are his creation Created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them.

The truth is: Where we see ourselves as weak, humanly speaking, i.e. as completely dependent on God, then His power will be able to prove itself all the more powerful through us (see 2 Corinthians 12: 9)!

For what is the power of God given and what does it work for?

1)To heal the sick + raise the dead: But when you go, preach and say, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heals the sick, wakes the dead, cleanses the lepers ...(Matthew 10: 7-8)

The strength for healing all human ailments and diseases flows from the welts of Jesus (Isaiah 53: 4-5)

2)To liberate the bound: ... cast out demons! You received in vain, give in vain! (Matthew 10: 8). At John 8:36 it says: When the Son will set you free, you are truly free.

Jesus took every bondage, every curse, every burden and every power of darkness upon himself on the cross, so that we can live freely in our souls!

3)To save the lost: In John 3: 3ff, Jesus teaches that only man, who is supernaturally reborn out of the spirit during his earthly life, can live eternally in the presence of God, i.e. can escape the eternal distance from God, which is actually intended for every human being due to the fall of man!

But this “new birth” is only possible through the power of Godthat is at work in Jesus and the good news related to Him.

No one can be born again out of God - unless the power of God works on and in him.

4)For the permanent and progressive transformation of the believersso that they are getting more and more all around successful, highly effective disciples of Jesus Christ be that with mind, soul and body More and more like Jesus are.

Life with God is one Life in permanent metamorphosis (Transformation). This is not possible without the power of God.

I want to put it this way: Die Power of God is our help, to be what we could never be on our own or by our own merit and to do what we could not do by ourselves!

Therefore the power of God initiates divine processes of transformation, accelerates it and bring them to a successful and victorious ending.

That means we need constantly anew the supply of the power of God- not just for healing, deliverance, salvation but for ever further transformation.

The power of God is the basis for a lifelong path of discipleshipon which we keep coming back die ourselves and then just as often to be raised to new (resurrection) life- so that we actually go from victory to victory, from strength to strength, and from glory to glory!

5) The Result of permanent transformation and growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ an ever increasing effectiveness as a "witness" of the kingdom of God, who also in turn makes disciples of this kingdom.

For this, too, the power of God is given to us very essentially:

But you will receive powerwhen the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem as well as in all of Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1: 8)

We need the power of God to keep us to equip with the gifts of Godto cast out demons, to heal the sick and to effectively convey the good news to peopleso that they will be ready to receive and follow Jesus.

That is ours real mission as a disciple of Jesus Christ!

To equip us for this mission, God has the church Mentors and spiritual leaders given that bring out our true identity in Jesus and us in the effectiveness of God's power to do so guide them to live as victorious and successful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Every Christian should be actively involved in such a disciple-making process- personally guided and inspired by spirit-filled mentors and constantly fed by the apostolic foundation of the power of God!

And What's the score?

The result are strong sons and daughters of God, as Glory-filled disciples of Jesus Christ go over this world, a are active witnesses to the kingdom of God, bring in the harvest, and disciple as many people as possible (Matthew 28: 19-20). So all around Children of God living in their divine destiny!

Have you decided to be one of them?

Then stretch out again and again full of hunger for His transforming power get involved in the very concrete process of discipleship in his kingdom!

For this I bless you in the mighty name of Jesus!
