How do I order DMT online

With the web shop, DMT is also responding to customers' need to find out more and better information about dusts and their use. "Finding the right dust for testing products such as vacuum cleaners, filters and the like has previously required a lot of time and patience," explains Umalan Gogilan, project manager in the area of air quality at DMT.

Manufacturers from the vacuum cleaner, automotive, pharmaceutical and filter industries test their devices with dust according to specified standards in order to be able to bring them to market. Before they have found the right dust to test, they first have to research which dust is actually mentioned in the standard. However, this is rarely specified precisely enough in the standard. "There may be Arizona test dust, but not exactly which of the four possible variants is meant," explains Gogilan. If the dust described in the standard is found, this does not automatically mean that it is the best dust for the manufacturer: "Ultimately, the manufacturers want to produce devices that are better and more than just meet the standard requirements in the standard," explains Gogilan. That is why DMT also develops test dusts for special and individual requirements.

What customers really need often only becomes apparent after many emails and long phone calls in which Gogilan questions his customers in detail. That costs both sides a lot of time, which is now saved by the new web shop: “Ultimately, we have transferred all of our dust-related know-how to the shop. In the shop, our customers can see directly which dust is mentioned in which standard, how the dust is composed, what particle size it has and what it is used for. ”To find the right dust, Gogilan recommends browsing through the shop:“ The more If customers get information in advance, the easier it is for them to find what they really need. ”If you want to order a product in a targeted manner, you can do so using the search function and then order it.

And that around the clock, from anywhere in the world: Over 50 standard and test dusts have already been entered in the shop, and ten more are to follow. The tried and tested DMT test dust type 8, which simulates household dust for vacuum cleaner manufacturers and suppliers, is currently available. Or the Arizona test dust A2 (fine), which is used, for example, to test air filters for ventilation technology and in the automotive industry.

Gogilan's team has also put unusual test dusts such as DMT banknote dust online. If you think of shredded banknotes when you think of banknote dust, you are on the wrong track: "In our banknote dust, we use the same type of cotton that is in banknotes. Therefore, critical machine components for the Federal Printing Office can be checked with our banknote dust," explains Gogilan. In addition to standard and test dusts, the shop also offers nanoparticles and accessories such as masks. "DMT is known for the fact that we deliver solutions from a single source. We also implement this idea in our shop," explains Gogilan.
