You can change the case of selected text in a document by clicking the tab begin on a button labeled Upper / lower case click.

Change the case

To change the case of selected text in a document, do the following:

  1. Select the text whose upper / lower case you want to change.

  2. change to start > Change case.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • click on Capitalize the first letter of the sentenceto capitalize the first letter in a sentence and keep all other letters lowercase.

    • To exclude capital letters in the text, click lowercase letters.

    • click on CAPITAL LETTERto capitalize all letters.

    • click on First letter in the word uppercaseto capitalize the first letter of each word and keep the other letters lowercase.

    • click on UPPER CASE / LOWER CASE INVERSEto switch between two upper / lower case views (e.g. between First letter in the word uppercase and the opposite CAPITALIZE THE FIRST LETTER IN THE WORD).

    Tips:

    • To apply small caps to the text, select the text, then click the tab begin in the group font click the arrow in the lower right corner. Activate in the dialog box font under Effects check box Small caps.

    • To undo the case change, press Ctrl + Z.

    • To use a keyboard shortcut to toggle between lowercase, UPPERCASE, and uppercase of each word, select the text and press SHIFT + F3 until the case you selected is applied.

Change the case

To change the case of selected text in a document, do the following:

  3. Do one of the following:

    Tips:

    • If you're adding small caps to your text, highlight the text, then choose from the menu format the Font option out,and in the Font dialog box, under Effects, select Small Caps out.

    • To undo the change in the case, press

    • To use a keyboard shortcut to toggle between lowercase, UPPERCASE, and uppercase of each word, select the text, then press Fn + SHIFT + F3 until the style you selected is applied.

PowerPoint for the web supports changing the envelope. See the procedure below for more information.

Word Online does not support changing the case. Use the desktop application to open the document and change the text case there, or you can do the text casing in Word Online.

  1. Highlight the text you want to change.

  2. change to start > More font options> case to change.

  3. Select the case you want to use.
