Japanese fans rate their top 10 most popular anime openings of 2020

While there may have been fewer TV anime released last year than last because, you know what's happening right now, it didn't stop the anime from having some great openings this year. Japanese anime website Anime! Anime! asked her readers about her favorite anime opening from 2020 with 1,176 answers. The list includes some expected hits, but also some surprises!

Of the 1,176 votes, 28% were male and 72% were female. Just a little reminder that Crunchyroll didn't conduct this survey and we didn't have a say in the list either. We are just as interested as you in what international fans think!

9. "Kaimin! Anmin! Syalist Seikatsu" throughInori Minase (S.leepy princess in the demon castle)

9. "DISCOVER THE FUTURE" through IDOLiSH7 (IDOLiSH7 Second blow!)

8. "Navigator" through SixTones (The millionaire detective - Balance: UNLIMITED)

6. "Phoenix" through Burnout syndromes (HAIKYU !! UP1. Cour)

6. "last phase" through fripSide (A certain scientific railgun T. Opening 1)

4. "Dad! Dad do!" by Masayuki Suzuki WithAiri Suzuki(Kaguya-sama: love is war?)

4. "Hypnosis Mic -Rhyme Anima-" throughDivision All Stars (Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle: Rhyme Anima)

1. "BREAK OF THE DAY"Kim Jaejoong (Noble)

To be honest, I'm personally not surprised by the results,Kim Jaejoong is very popular in Japan right now, as is K-pop as the "DAYBREAK" genre, which has also been released in English, Korean and Japanese, was definitely a hit. What about the rest of the list? Some pretty good pieces from last year!
