How does the FBI search a house

Justice: US Federal Police FBI searches house of Trump's ex-campaign manager

In the Russia affair, the US Federal Police FBI searched the house of the former campaign manager of US President Donald Trump, Paul Manafort. Documents were secured, said a spokesman for Manafort on Wednesday. He confirmed reports from the US media.

According to information from the Washington Post, the search was ordered by special investigator Robert Mueller. He is reviewing possible agreements between the Trump team and Russian government officials in the election campaign. Manafort is considered one of the key figures in the Russia affair. According to the newspaper, his property in the US state of Virginia was searched in late July.

The "New York Times" writes that the investigators had seized tax documents as well as documents related to foreign banks. Manafort's spokesman stressed that the former campaign manager is fully cooperating with the judicial authorities.

Manafort resigned from leading Trump's campaign team a year ago in August. The reason was reports that he had received several million US dollars from the former pro-Russian President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, and was therefore being investigated.

Manafort also attended a meeting of Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Junior and his son-in-law Jared Kushner with a Russian lawyer in June 2016. It is said to have been about explosive material about the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
