tDCS and female urinary incontinence

Type of intervention: procedure

Intervention name: Real transcranial direct current stimulation + therapeutic exercises for urinary incontinence

Description: Real transcranial direct current stimulation in connection with therapeutic exercises for urinary incontinence tDCS: 20 minutes, 2 mA, anode of the additional motor area and supraorbital cathode (ipsilateral to the dominant lower extremity). Technique based on the application of weak direct current to the brain through relatively large electrodes placed over the scalp. Anodal and cathodic stimulation increases and decreases cortical excitability, respectively.

Arm group label: Anodic tDCS + administer therapies

Type of intervention: procedure

Intervention name: Sham transcranial direct current stimulation + therapeutic exercises for urinary incontinence

Description: Sham transcranial direct current stimulation + therapeutic exercises for urinary incontinence tDCS: 20 minutes (30 seconds ON), 2 mA, anode of the additional motor area and supraorbital cathode (ipsilateral to the dominant lower extremity). Technique based on the application of weak direct current to the brain through relatively large electrodes placed over the scalp, where anodal and cathodic stimulation increases and decreases cortical excitability, respectively.

Arm group label: Sham tDCS + performs therapies
