Well worth Amazon Pantry

Amazon raises prices: Deliveries from Pantry are getting really expensive now

No more free! Amazon is now asking you to pay properly for deliveries of its pantry products. The previous free delivery will be abolished. That could be related to Lidl and Kaufland.

Anyone who orders groceries, drugstore items or office items via Amazon Pantry from Amazon from today will be in for a nasty surprise. The US giant is now significantly increasing delivery costs for its popular grocery service.

Possible reason: Lidl and Kaufland have removed groceries from their online shop. Rewe does not deliver nationwide.

The only competitors for Amazon are Edeka and AllYouNeed. Industry experts speak of a move. Because Amazon knows that the company can become the top dog in this segment.

What is the cost of delivery at Amazon Pantry now?

The most important change: The free shipping, which was previously with an order value of over 29 euros, is no longer available. Customers then pay 3.99 euros per box. The shipping costs for deliveries under 29 euros increase by one euro from 2.99 euros to 3.99 euros. Anyone who wants their groceries to be delivered on the date of their choice pays almost six euros from today.

For this, Amazon is now rewarding those customers who order a lot. If the groceries do not fit into a box, customers only pay 99 cents for the second pantry carton. Previously, Amazon demanded the full delivery cost of 2.99 euros for this. If the delivery date is requested, the second box then costs 1.99 euros.

What is Amazon Pantry?

Amazon Pantry is the US giant's delivery service that includes everyday items. Unlike Amazon Fresh, the company delivers the products in a box. Pantry is also available nationwide.

To be able to place orders, customers need an active Amazon Prime account. With a membership (costs 69 euros per year or 7.99 euros per month), customers also receive free shipping of Prime products, unlimited photo cloud storage, a free video and music flat rate and access to so-called lightning offers.
