Why are cinemas allocated seats

Hello again! The COVID rules for a safe visit to the cinema.

We look forward to being there for you again, and of course we will make sure that your visit is as pleasant as possible! Here you will find all the information you need to safely go to the cinema We wish you a great cinema experience - and take care of each other!

The rules in brief: Entry is only possible with currently valid proof of testing, vaccination or recovery (3-G rule). | We are committed to Contact tracing Record your data. | The same applies throughout the cinema and foyer FFP2 mask requirement.


Our seating capacity is 50% of the regular seats reduced, so we can guarantee enough distance for all visitors. Unfortunately, there is currently only one wheelchair space available.

RESERVATIONS: As usual, you can reserve tickets for the desired performance via the email address [email protected]tkinowien.at, please also specify your preferred seat. Our cash desk staff will get back to you with a reservation confirmation. Reservations by telephone are only possible when the cash desk is open. The cash desk always opens 30 minutes before the first performance.

ONLINE TICKETS: You can also buy tickets for all performances via our online shop: https://ntry.at/shop/stadtkino. At the moment there are only single seats to buy here. You can with the Online ticket directly to Going in - there will be the valid proof controlled by an employee via testing, vaccination or recovery.

ATTENTION EXCEPTION: May 19 & 20 - for these two performances please exchange the online tickets at the cash desk - see information on the ticket!

PURCHASE ON SITE: As always, the cash desk opens 30 minutes before the first performance - and tickets are sold regularly at the cash desk. The various discount offers are of course still valid, as are vouchers, blocks of 10 and 6. If you buy on site at the cash desk the valid proof Checked by our cashier staff via testing, vaccination or recovery, please have them ready. We also ask you to provide us with your name and a telephone number, this information is used for this Contact tracing, the data will be reliably destroyed after the prescribed period.

Proof of "Tested-Recovered-Vaccinated"

→ Certified / documented antigen self-test: valid for 24 hours INFO here
→ Antigen test: carried out by an authorized body (e.g. pharmacy): valid for 48 hours
→ PCR test (e.g. everything gurgles): valid for 72 hours
→ Recovery: Medical Confirmation of survived infection or separation decision: retrospectively a maximum of 6 months
→ Vaccination carried out (vaccination pass): First vaccination before at least 22 days


In the city cinema you can pay in cash as well as cashless. You can also purchase your tickets contactlessly.


Please stop in the foyer and at the entrance and exit 2m distance to other people. In the cinema, the distance to other people and groups of people is regulated by a free space between the visitors. You will receive tickets with assigned seats at the cash desk, please take these seats too. Our employees at the cash desk will of course be happy to help you choose your seat.


In the entire building, including in the cinema, the Obligation to wear an FFP2 mask, The mask can be removed for the consumption of food and drinks at the seat. Pregnant women can use another suitable MNS instead of the FFP2 mask; they are exempt from this obligation.

We have two places for you in the foyer Disinfectant stations set up, there you can disinfect your hands. The staff in the cinema disinfects the handrails, handles, toilet facilities, etc. between shows.

The exit from the cinema is via the Rear exits - which lead out to Bösendorferstrasse. We try to minimize the contact between the people who are in the hall and the people who want to go into the hall, we ask for your help and understanding.

Before, between and after the performances, the hall will have doors and windows completely ventilated. During the performance, the ventilation runs continuously at the maximum level to keep it optimal Air exchange to guarantee.


When entering the hall, we ask you to wait in front of the hall and to keep your distance from other people when leaving the cinema, for the protection and well-being of everyone! Thank you for that!
