Yea thats the one, so mad at the thing I spent 15 bucks on another nic card, the problem started when I upgraded ram in the PC I put a gig stick in it, however when I started it back up the computer was unable to see the primary, and slave hard drives. I acutally downloaded three different drivers and this one seemed to be the most recent and is the only one that I searched for using my service tag. The WiFi came back up, but the Broadcom is still disabled. Thanks for your help. I did a virus scan and did have any viruses. Well I guess the main thing is you are back up and running.

Since your WiFi is now working properly, we suggest updating all the device drivers. I did a virus scan and did have any viruses. When I select to “repair the internet connection” option, after it has finished I can connect to the internet at least to my home page, but after that is does not work again.
I swapped them into my other PC and they did not work at all, like both of them were destroyed I think I got some form of power surge in the system, so I swapped an extra hard drive into the system and got the OS installed just to find the integrated nic card could not be installed I tried everything, that driver and a few others in every nroadcom I could think to get it in there.
So look closely at the driver options. That data certainly confirms what you said earlier–you appear to still have a connection as the ipconfig remains good, but you can’t communicate with anything.
So I guess that leaves me with a failing NIC. My guess is that the same surge or whatever that destroyed my hard drives destroyed that integrated network card. The thing is I thought I took all precautions when adding the ram I’m unsure what I did. Meanwhile following the steps mentioned in this thread will work around the issue if you can call disabling Ethernet a valid workaround until we have a real fix available.
