Here is the info about the driver I installed: I was not able to configure the network adapter using any of the tools that I could find and kept getting “device not found” and such. This Software is licensed for use only in conjunction with Intel component products. The Intel and Gigabyte websites make this driver available for most versions of windows, but appear to be at a loss for Linux. Perhaps, you should update the kernel to 2.

I do wish I could have done a clean install, and still may, but I couldn’t get that PRO disk to autorun without an existing OS in place, and I didn’t want eata risk doing a clean install after it re-formatted and erased the existing Home version.
If you do not wish to so agree, do radi install or use the Software. I am not sure why the installer needs a driver, since it must be able to read the CD if I am reading the instruction to insert a floppy.

If the Software has been delivered by Intel on physical media, Intel warrants the media radi be free from material physical defects for a period of ninety days after delivery by Intel. Looks like I’m good to go. Upon termination, you will immediately destroy the Software or return all copies of the Software to Intel. The Software is copyrighted and protected by the laws of the United States and other countries, and rakd treaty provisions.

I will try the vanilla desktop install and see if I can get it to work. The Cent Install CD does not have a driver that it needs and prompts to insert a floppy with a diver for the device on which the install packages are located. Results 1 to 7 of 7. I’ve built a system for a friend.
